Use of English: The Easiest 70+ in JAMB If You Know Where the Marks Are

Know the Question Mix

Use of English tests comprehension passages, lexis and structure, sentence interpretation, oral forms and the prescribed literary text. The marks are spread out, which means you cannot ignore any section and hope to make it up elsewhere.

Comprehension: Read the Questions First

Skim the questions before the passage. You then read with a purpose and your eyes catch the answers as you go. Never answer from general knowledge. The answer is always in the passage, even when it is hidden behind different words.

Lexis and Structure Daily Drill

Learn ten new words per day with a sentence for each. For structure, revise concord (subject-verb agreement), tenses, prepositions and the common idioms. Ten minutes of daily practice for eight weeks will move your English score more than a weekend of cramming.
